Ich bin grad auf etwas gestoßen, das will ich euch nicht vorenthalten, ich selber wusste noch nix von dem Spiel und war daher recht überrascht, schade ist es auf jedenfall wenn es denn stimmen sollte. :ka:

Sources close to Nintendo tell N-Next that the sequel to Metroid Fusion, Metroid Dread, has been canceled and that the title is no longer in production.
Having first appeared in the June 2005 edition of Game Informer, Metroid Dread was unofficially revealed along with many other e3 2005 titles such as Touch Golf. Of course, gamers began to grow skeptical due to the magazine being released prior to e3 2005. When the first images began to appear from e3, every game, including Zelda’s Twilight Princess title, was revealed by Nintendo except for one game: Metroid Dread.
Why was it not revealed at e3 if it existed? Our sources claim that the title was only in pre-developement and was only in its project stages. Now, our sources, whom are close to Nintendo, are reporting that the title has been canceled all together.
Will we ever find out if it did exist? Will we ever find out that it was truly canceled? We may never find out, and if we do find out, it won’t be any time soon since Nintendo never officially revealed it so an official cancelation comfirmation probably won’t take place.

Mich würde aber interessieren, WARUM man es canceln sollte. Metroid ist ja ein sehr erfolgreiches genre und warum sollte man ein „old-school“ 2D-Metroid canceln. Ist jetzt vllt ein komischer vergleich, aber für den ds kommen ja auch 2 marios. Das schon erhältliche mario64ds (also 3d) und new super mario bros. (2d).
Ich hab zwar Metroid Fusion noch nie gespielt, aber ich fänds trotzdem schade wenn der nachfolger dazu gecancelt worden wäre.
Meine mich zu erinnern, Pics zu einem neuen Metroid in 2D gesehen zu haben. Kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass so ein Titel von einem der wichtigsten Franchises einfach gecancelt wird.
Metroid V ist definitiv noch in entwicklung. Allerdings wartet man damit sicherlich noch etwas länger da erst die Prime-Saga abgeschlossen wird bevor man die richtige storyline wieder aufnimmt. Immerhin hat sich das Metroid franchise zur Zeit eher in ein metroid prime franchise verwandelt
