Australien: Nintendo nennt Termin und Preis für NDS
11.01.05 - Nintendo gibt bekannt, dass das Handheldsystem Nintendo DS (inkl. PictoChat) am 24.02.05 in Australien auf den Markt kommen wird. Der Preis liegt bei 199,95 Australischen Dollar (Euro 116 / Yen 15.801 / USD 152).
Für kurze Zeit soll Nintendo DS auch ein Demo von Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt beiliegen. Das Start Lineup soll in Kürze vorgestellt werden.
Ich denke mal der Preis wird sich irgendwo zwischen 120 und 150€ einpendeln. Wobei ich doch eher mit einem Preis um 130€ rechne, da man mit Sony einen ziemlichen starken Konkurrenten bekommen hat, den man immer im Auge behalten muss. Da kann Nintendo es sich nicht erlauben die Preise so zu überziehen wie es beim GBA /SP der Fall war.
Nintendo DS to launch on February 24th at $199.95 in Australia!
Melbourne, Australia, 11th January 2005 – Nintendo Australia Pty Limited, confirms the February 24th nation-wide launch of the eagerly awaited Nintendo DS at SRP$199.95 with embedded messaging and communication tool Pictochat. For a limited time at launch, Metroid PrimeTM Hunters : First Hunt demo will also be included.
Since it’s unveiling at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles only eight months ago, the Nintendo DS has broken all the existing rules for portable video game play; two screens not just one, wireless communication abilities and game control via voice and touch, not just with buttons.
With 2.8 million Nintendo DS units sold in North America and Japan alone, the initial shipment of units into Australia far outweighs any hardware launch in the history of Nintendo in this country.

More than 100 companies have signed on to create games for the sleek silver and black Nintendo DS, while Nintendo itself are already developing its first 20 titles including Super Mario 64TM DS and WarioWareTM: Touched! which will be available on launch in Australia with Pokemon DashTM releasing shortly after.

Ob Australien den DS eher ab kriegt als wir?
Ich meine,die Stückzahlen für Australien wären leichter zu beschaffen,bei knappen 20Mio Einwohnern.In Europa sinds ja knappe 450Mio. und BigN will garantiert so viele Gebiete wie möglich mit DS’ abstecken,also schnell mal was abzwacken und auf die andere Seite schicken glaube ich da eher :heul:
mehr als 150 Euro wären schon ziemlich mies. Eigentlich müsste fairerweise auch hier für 130 Euro angebnoten werden. Und Nintendo würd auch glaube ich nicht mit den preis übertreiben, da sie die Playstation Portable als Konkurrenten haben und beide Systeme fast gleichzeitig heraus kommen. Nintendo weiß das auch und will die Marktführerschaft auch hier nicht verlieren.
Infos zum Europa-Launch werden bald veröffentlicht
Am 27. Januar um Punkt 15 Uhr wird Nintendo im Rahmen einer Pressekonferenz sämtliche Informationen zum Europa-Launch des Nintendo DS preisgeben.
