Da ich ja, bekanntlicher Weise, auch ein Opfer der verhunzten 360 Hardwarekonstruktion geworden bin und meine Box einschicken musste, frage ich mich ob die mit den neuen Modellen die gleichen Probleme haben oder ob diese Hitzeprobs überwunden wurden? Hab zwar ne ganz neue Box bekommen, die auch deutlich kühler ist als die alte Box aber so n bisschen Panik bleibt dennoch im Hinterkopf (ähnlich wie bei dem ersten Schatten aufm Plasma). Ist also die erste Frage ob dieses Problem mit der „neuen“ Generation pase ist oder nicht.
Alternativ bieten sich ja externe Kühler an. Wie z.B. dieser hier: Klick Bin echt am überlegen ob ich mir so ein Teil nicht zulege. Ist vielleicht ne blöde Frage, hab ja bis jetzt noch nichts darüber hier im Board gelesen, aber hat irgendjemand zufällig diesen Kühler und wenn ja, um wieviel lauter wird die, eh schon etwas lautere, Box dadurch?
ich hab die billigerte Variante von ebay. Ist echt ziemlich laut, aber trotzdem mekrt man da schon, dass es kühler wird. Kann also gut sein, dass dieses Ding dann nochmal besser ist. Wollte aber selbst nicht so viel ausgeben für nen Kühler, was ich aber evtl bei gelegenheit dann doch tun werde XD
naja…wenn alleine schonmal die Temperatur der Box runtergeht hats ja schonmal was für sich finde ich. wenn ich mal dran denke, dass das Regal früher an der stelle wo die Box stand brutal heiss war und heute nicht mehr ganz so warm, dann denke ich schon dass es zu nem gewissen Grad hilfreich sein kann.

Im Media Markt in Kriens (Luzern) habe ich ihn mal gesehen. Ist aber schon ca. ein halbes Jahr her. Würde ansonsten mal da anrufen.

I’d give 0 stars if I could
The intercooler can, and in my case did, damage my 360. It sucks current that otherwise would go to the 360, which caused component failure. The worst part? As it’s not an approved accessory for the 360, any damage it causes will void your warranty and you’ll have to buy a new 360 out of pocket.
Bad news
This device killed my power supply. DO NOT PURCHASE.
Granted the XBOX 360 PS should have enough juice to run both devices but it doesnt.
Red Ring of Death Imminent
This cooler causes more problems than it solves. It killed our Xbox 360 and gave us the „Red Ring of Death,“ (three of the rings around the power switch blink red, indicating a component failure). If you haven’t heard about this you should do a search and read about it. The first thing the Microsoft tech asked when we called was if we had a cooler on the Xbox. Using an unlicensed product, which this is, can void your warranty. Use at your own risk. You shouldn’t dismiss this issue out of hand, too many other people have reported similar experiences.
Do Not Buy!
All I can say is I know 4 people with this device and these same 4 people had to send in their 360 for component failure. Do not install this device or a surge protector on your Xbox (already has a surge protector) as the loss is power draw will cause the failure. Not sure why Microsoft has not stopped this company from selling this damaging product.
